Perhaps we should make the Journal and Guide namespaces proper namespaces. Not sure if it's possible, but it shouldn't be impossible.

It is possible, we added a "moderation" namespace on DragonSpires.

This would make it easier to search within or without of them. The same might go for Suggestions.

While offloading the journals would be a great start I think Suggestions is a much larger and more cumbersome set of info through which to search. It also currently generates a lot of false or confusing hits while looking for game info.

Suggestion namespace would be very nice addition, as would Journal. I'm not so sure with the guides, as they are more proper information.

Shall we suggest a policy on this then?

Do we really need a policy on this? It's not going to change how the system works from user's perspective. Or at least not much.

I think just asking Kevan would be enough. He might do it at the same time as updating the software, if he ever gets to it.

yeah, but you know the way things work. You get a miscondibration case for simply telling someone to shut up.

Since it's already a psuedo namespace, if anyone complains I'd be surprised.

yeah, but that also makes it more difficult to add. I think it would mess up the pages already in the namespace.

If you're right, then you have an excellent point. Perhaps move every page that is in it out of the psuedo namespace, then move them back?

yeah, that would work. I believe we had a problem with this on scroll wars.

Then this is going to be utter hell. There are literally dozens of journals, and about 2 dozen guides. Easily as bad as the moderation page moves. Maybe worse, in truth.

yeah, I know. That's why we added the scroll wars ones at the beggining.

As far I know, adding Journal or Guide namespace now would essentially delete the current pages of same name, completely and permanently. I think I read it on mediawiki documentation.

Which obviously mean that we would have to perform two moves per page. And if I managed to use wiki search correctly, there are 136 Journal pages (search for Journal: and look at page title matches).

Fortunately Suggestions are not in pseudo namespace, which would merely require moving current suggestion pages to the new namespace. Of course, there are, well, lots of pages in the whole suggestion system. About 400 I believe.

As a side note: At least on Safari browser the cursor while writing posts is black. With the dark blue background it makes not-so-nice writing experience. Any chance of changing it?
